Wear White Fundraiser for the Women’s Committee

The Women’s Committee of the Luzerne County Bar Association will be commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment.

On August 18, 1920, Tennessee became the last state needed to ratify the 19th Amendment, which guaranteed and protected a woman’s constitutional right to vote.

To mark this special occasion, we are asking all Bar Members to wear white on Tuesday, August 18th, and if possible, make a $5 donation. All donations will be given to Ruth’s Place — an emergency women’s shelter for women in Luzerne County.
